The stock market moves in advance of the economy, typically up and down. It tells you what the economy is gonna do, which has some usefulness but as an investor, it's just not very useful. During COVID, when things were getting really bad, we didn't go to our clients and say, let's take some risk off the table and move out of the market. We rebalanced into stocks, not thinking that we knew when the bottom was.
