Apple's AirPods: A Replacement for Conventional Hearing Aids
Apple's working on a bunch of things for Air pods, including developing a feature to test hearing by playing a series of tones and sounds. The idea is to help users screen for hearing issues, not unlike how the Apple Watch ECG app checks for heart problems. There's also engine, there's also engineering work being done on adding sensors to Air pods so they can determine body temperature via the wearer's ear canal.
