Is There a Tidal Wave of Omicron Coming?

There's a tidal wave of omicron coming, he says. But is that just preparing everyone for the case number shooting up? Or does it reflect grim worries in whitehall that this is going to be awful? Well, i think, in a way, both are true, right? So you can have awful, as in many, many, many thousands of cases a day, and that will look and feel terrifying. That doesn't mean there won't be people getting seriously ill or even dying.
