Zapotec Artifacts in the Valley

The Zapotec people just some 2500 years ago or something like that took the top of a mountain and built this impressive plaza area. There are many other ruins from what our guide there told us if you took any mountain in the area and uncovered it and dug up you would find something similar. It's amazing I mean this whole entire valley as I researched it was inhabited since 11,000 BC so you can imagine that's so much time to just build and create these things that ebbed and flowed and and are now covered in grass.
