HS2 has been kicked around since 2009 under Gordon Brown as Prime Minister. It was way up in 2019, 10 years later, that Boris Johnson gave the final order to proceed. The idea that it's going to save money because of inflationary costs is a joke. We just need someone to say, hey, we're building this in full. It's going ahead. No debate, no kicking it around, no trying to cost save or bring things down. They need a Fred Mills. Do you know what I mean? You're right and you're well within your right to feel like that"
