Getting Organized Is Never Complete Without Talking About Distraction
Don't read email first thing in the morning. Grab an artifact when your leave a room and you're distracted or your taken off task, bring an artifact with you. An unopened envelope can remind you that you were opening the mail before you got interrupted. A washcloth reminds you to return to folding laundry. If you have no actual object, a posted note even if it's blank in your tim will remind you to think again.
