The Web Assembly Ecosystem Is a Parachute, Right?

The web assembly ecosystem is very much contingent, not on the applications that are developed out of it, but the language support. The component model allows us to pull libraries written in one language and any other language that supports them. We really need that kind of critical mass on the language support side.
