How the Hackers Got Hold of 450 Legitimate Cosmos Accounts

Every bank has its own ATM switch, and once the hackers were inside Cosmos Bank they had the power to allow or deny withdrawals. To make a withdrawal from Cosmos, you need a card connected to a genuine Cosmos account. The hackers got hold of legitimate Cosmos customers' bank details that's the account number, sort code, name and so on. They then overwrote them with data for 450 real Cosmos accounts - this is highly illegal but it works.
