Bob Passani has been a markets reporter on the New York Stock Exchange floor for 25 years. He joined CNBC in 1998, year after it first came into existence and he was the real estate correspondent for the first six or seven years. In 1996 we had started getting real ratings around this new hot thing called the internet. The Netscape IPO in August of 1995 really ignited interest in the internet which led to our ratings going up.
