Is the Earth a Rectangular Spheroid?

The data set is actually just a map of temperature. So i essentially give the neral network this one map of temperature, and it's all latitude and longitude points on earth. When i think of machine learning, i'm always trying to make tabular data. But the earth isn't quite tabular. It's an oblique spheroid. Do you face any challenges around pontifying the data because it's not in such a rectangular format, right? N, that's a good question. It's enly something our research group has been exploring.
