11 out of the 39 parables in luke's gospel talk about money or allude to that. Jesus knows how much of a strong hold it is, and he gives it a name like mammon,. He tells these stories about rich people and richPeople who are keeping things away from others. The idea isn't like savings is what he's attacking: It's the people who are hoarding more than enough.
