What's the Value of Open Sore?

Ofgogle and cobernetes created an ecosystem that essentially moved something that was owned by a single company, you know, into soe thing that wasn't owned by anything. Sometimes you want to create an eco system that you can participate it. That's one like thing that you can want to get out of it. I wanted to make sure that we had some time to talk about advice for project owners or early stage company founders. So how would you first question would be, what areas do you think are make good areas for open sorce projects to get built and in what don't like? What are the characteristics? We can start there.
