Asynchronous Meetings Are Important
Hope, a software company based in San Francisco, has 80% asynchronous and 20% synchronous work hours. Hope: If you want to have a meeting, if you want to talk to somebody, like that's the time to do it. Brainstorming is notoriously bad doing meetings for the same reason as decision making. It's much better to brainstorm independently and then come together to share the results.
