Is There a Substitute for Expertis?

Most companies are using technology to substitute expertise, which is never going to work. It used to take ten years of diligent practice to become a grand master, and now we see people becoming grand masters after about five years. And exactly where we think it is possible to speed up and deepen the development of expert we know it from chess. Too often the organizations don't try. They think we've invested in the technology and now we can lean back. When things go wrong, the technology probably won't help and may make things worse. Because now i've got to figure out what's technology doing, as well as what's going on in the situation.
