#42 Bruce Miller: If God exists why does he allow suffering?
Unapologetic | Premier Unbelievable?
The Importance of Evil
Guston: If God created everything and evil's, you know, part of the world, then he must have created evil. Bruce: I think what is the best answer to this question is that evil is not a thing. He argued that evil is a lack - like rust cannot exist without metal. Guston: You can't even say that murder is evil. It's just taking a life of any organism. And pain itself is not bad; it's just a thing that exists. Without God, without Christianity, I think that's the most honest view.
