The Importance of Values
Roxanne Jones: Why do we have this irrational impulse toward truth seeking in the first place? She says it might be our own physiological demand for the preservation of a certain way of life. And that way of life is as a being which thinks of itself as rational, she adds. Jones: We are fundamentally inclined to claim that the falsest judgments, which include the synthetic judgments, a priori, are the most indispensable for us.
