CHAPTER

The Future of Space Stations

The ISS has largely served its purpose for getting us ready to have humans in longer-term duration beyond low-Earth orbit. I feel like a lot of the times we don't give the ISS enough credit for the fact it has allowed us now to contemplate these bigger, bolder emissions. There's a lot of research we've done on the ISS that people are still trying to figure out where is this going to go. It's exciting to hear you talk about this and so much enthusiasm. To look back and see what the ISS has done so much of the job that we've asked it to do. In my mind, that's what we're all wishing for low- Earth orbit.
