The Map of Our Emotional Systems

We have a finite of basic need. These motivations color what we conceive of as our ultimate destiny. Any sign that we're moving towards our goal is responded to with a rush of positive emotion. Anything that stops us on the path that we've chosen produces negative emotion. We can all be thrilled to death when our favorite ker team scores a goal, because we participate in what they are doing. So you'll watch it. It's not a good long term strategy.
