i think your first boss is probably one of the most important choices you'll ever make. You're almost hiring them as much as they're hiring you. i happen to get very lucky that john christianson, who was my first boss, was fantastic and i learned a lot him. When it comes to picking mentors, i think a lot of people just say, oh, you're successful, great Will you be my mentor? Ah, but that's not intentional enough.
