How Much Help Do You Get Bouncing Ideas Off of Your Ideas?

I've been very fortunate to work with really great editors throughout my career, and especially at half post. The hardest thing is I could spend an hour to try to build up the foundational concepts still have a point. But if someone over gets it they're going to be bored by that. If someone doesn't have information they might be confused by the point. That's amazing but touched upon something that I've struggled with in terms of science communication also.
