The Greens Announced a Policy That Will Abolise the Retirement Age
The greens have announced a policy that will abolish the retirement age. In the green utopia, you can retire on to a pension 30 % higher than the current age pension,. from the age of 18, no questions asked. The key argument is that if you make social security payment or income support payments too high and abolish mutual obligations, you you make it too easy, basically, for people not to work. But i never thought i'd see the day when a party that calls itself left would advocate destroying the social contract on which the welfare state was built.
