The Supremacy Theory of Comedy

The superiority theory that Plato attempts to disavow, I do think is a haunting specter of many theories of comedy. And it's that the idea for, for those thinkers is that what is the comedy is always liberatory. But yet you have these jokes, like again, going back to Plato, that Plato tries to do something with that, that we, you like, what do you do with this? So yeah. Badu famously says, he distinguishes between comedy as such, and what he calls like funny. He would never probably watch Hangover or Bridesmaids, but they're not comedy.
