How to Study the Sex of Children in the Past

When you're excavating the grave of a child, what kinds of tools can we apply to try to understand the life of that person? An osteologist, a specialist on human bones, looks at growth patterns. But increasingly, we're also using biomolecular methods to gather the lives of children. And in particular, determining or estimating the sex of children from the remains has been always a challenge because before puberty, they are not very sexually demographic.
