The first couple of sentences has to make somebody think, why mi being told this story. The moment of entry in literature is not where you show off the style of your writing. One novel that i wrote started with this long wedding scene. And then as i was doing the final draft of the novel for my publisher, i thought, well, you know, that's not really very exciting.
