In the last year we've lost legacy restaurants, exactly what you're describing. When you step into those estaurants, you are stepping back in time, and it's a privilege. My greatest fear is every single business that goes down in chinatown will pave the way for gentrification. Because this country used to have 50 china towns, and now we're down to the last two historic china towns - both hanging by a thread.
