I think that the undermining of legitimate authorities on its way to a traditional authority makes it easier for authoritarianism of a kind, at least not harder. I mean, you're under earned authority. Authority based simply on prowess or based on celebrity based on might, that person takes over and, you know, can assemble the chaos and explain everything to everybody. And nobody, the utopians didn't count on that happen. It's a perfect nightmare. But we've always had demagogues.
