Lewis Carroll's Life and the New Biography of Lewis Carroll by Charlie Lovett
The final revisions that Lewis Carroll made to Alice in Wonderland were towards the end of his life around 1896, 1897. He did tweak the text over the years as new additions came out. The thing that you notice the most is it's over-inked which when you have an illustration on one side of the page, the text that's on the opposite side of that same piece of paper bleeds through into the illustration and that kind of ruins the illustration.
