As you lose weight, your base amount of metabolic rate goes down. People will consistently say that the reason why I am unable to maintain my weight loss is because my metabolism is actually going down. And so if people are having issues losing weight, rather than try to tell them to raise their metabolism, they should think about getting a good metabolism and trying to keep it there.
