The Role of the Bridegroom in the Liturgical Cycle

The cycle of the liturgy invites us into this, right? Each year we experience the kind of the dramatic presence of the bridegroom. And then we have these seasons of marked preparation of Advent when Christ first come into the world. So I think that within the liturgical cycle there are these times of more dramatic presence and times of absence or preparation.
