CHAPTER

The Role of WebAssembly in Interoperability

WebAssembly plays a really interesting role where because WebAssembly itself and this is going kind of deep into the weeds is architecture independent meaning the instruction set knows nothing about the actual compute the CPU on which the code eventually runs that WebAssembly is a great candidate to spread and compute across as many different endpoints or compute platforms as you possibly can. I'm hoping to see at some point a platform that orchestrates Wasm across the cloud the edge the browser etc and it's only a matter of time until we see that actually happen in my opinion yeah. We have to start looking at distributed computing as a holistic problem that can span compute devices from you know the watch I'm wearing to the giant
