Ray heard through the local carpenters union that the widow gunnis out on m lang road had work to offer. Since belle still had to keep the honey trap of the farm in good working order, she just hired ray as an actual laborer. Ray wasn't interested in a daughter for matrimony; he was more interested in belle herself. While marriage was certainly on the table for him, he was just as happy to be bell's fuck boy in the meantime.
