Jesus Is a True Jew

Matthew wants to note before we read about what's going to happen in the next chapter that Jesus faithfully follows the directions of the Torah. The Greek word is craspedone, a reference to these fringes that Jewish would wear on their garments. So when you look at the tassels, you remember the commandments of the Lord. That's really important to establish going into the next story.
