The Problem With Formative Assessment Is It's Hard to Record
The problem with formative assessment is that it's ephemeral, and we all know thewhole othato was at its real time, in the moment. It's hard to build an accountability system about it so i think this approach of whole class feedback is very, very powerful. I think it marries very nicely with comparative judgment too. Ah, i do think it is does require a bit of a culture shift, but i've seen so many schools as to save, both those we work with and those we don't who have moved over to it.
