The Limitations of the UK Influence
I think it's a myth that he could have stopped the war because this Bush administration would determine to do it in a way that was wholly irrational and obviously so. The Times did a leader on Iraq 20 years on which was holy scathing. Now from my memory the Times backed the war as did of course the Sun with great exuberant enthusiasm. But what happens when things go wrong people are very fickle. And we now learned 20 years on about the scale of the flawed intelligence, the limits of the UK influence.
