All Else Equal: Making Better Decisions

00:00

Is Stakeholder Capitalism a Way of Sustaining the Government?

Don Cockland: I actually don't think it's bad for stakeholder capitalists to try to influence the government. Why because the government does have a comparative advantage in addressing some issues with tools like taxation and regulation that nobody else has. But unless we believe that the tax rate that the government has set has been lobbied or is not reflecting the electorate's preferences, I think that's an issue which should be left to the government. The All Else Equal podcast is a production of Stanford University's graduate school of business.
