What Do We Make of All This Happening This Week?
The US has been selling weapons to Taiwan for years, but that's ramped up significantly in recent years. The idea from the US military perspective is not to have trainers. There are such that they're prepared to fight confront China should they try to enter Taiwan. So I actually think it's worth thinking about it more like Ukraine.
