The Land Reform Act 2003 - The Queen's Land

Former MSP Dennis Canavan was heavily involved in the fine detail of the Land Reform Act 2003. The first draft of the bill was far from perfect, with an exclusion of the right to water for example. He launched an amendment to ensure that the Queen's land would be open to access. But there were other big landowners too in Scotland who were fiercely opposed to it.
