Is the Data on the Web Site Really Real?
The data is received from the aircraft, so the aids be standard broadcasts at roughly once a second. There's two transponder so we're getting basically a frame from the ats b transponter every half second or so in complete coverage. Andand there's variation based on which receivers are receiving the signals. Are no as there any impact tot the signal by sight or anything like that. But roughly speaking, once or twice a second. That data is then processed and stored. To make things smoother on the web site, we display fewer data points for aircraft too, to not overload the web site. Basically that many data points times 15 thousand, 16 thousand aircraft being tracked at
