Is It Time to Conclude That Inflation Is Inherently Permanent?
Right now, we don't actually have a hot war between superpowers. We have a proxy war or a cold war, if you want to call it that. I think it's rapidly escalating in the direction of a hot war, but we're not there yet. Is it time to conclude that this is inherently inflationary? And does that mean that the debate about whether inflation is transitory or persistent is going to be resolved as a result of this geopolitical escalation? Or how should we think about inflation in this new environment?
