The Second Coming of Christ
Paul uses three words, catch this, to describe the return of the Lord. The first is parousia, which may mean both presence and arrival. Since his ascension, Christ is pictured seated at the right hand of God in heaven. Paul tells the Thessalonians that Christ will slay the man of lawlessness by the breath of his mouth or destroy him by the epiphanaea of his parucia. Lad finishes here by saying, "The inseparable connection between the two acts in Christ's redemptive work is illustrated"
