The Inquisition was established to process these people because if you're baptized, you're not supposed to carry out rituals for any other religion. In 1492, Castile and Aragon, the two kingdoms that are now Spain, were united. Fernando and Isabella gave the remaining Jews a very difficult choice: Convert or leave.
