The Rooseveltian Social Contract
The greatest generation, our parents and grandparents of the 1930s and 40s took Marx very seriously. And so they cognitively and intelligently designed an alternative. The Rooseveltian social contract in which the working class was invited to join the middle class. Because we weren't wasting as much talent, we took off. It defied every expectation of Marx and the Marxists.
