The Differences Between Religion and Hermeneutics
religious studies is different from theology and hermeneutics, where you take an ancient text like the Hebrew Bible. The idea of theory and method are the tools that you use to study your data. As somebody who does archaeology in ancient history, my methodology involves textual analysis and sometimes material analysis of ancient objects. I see people that say, you know, wokeism is religion as being pretty messy with their theory.
