The Rise of Capitalism Is Not a Revolutionary Force, but It Was a Progressive Force
The rise of capitalism was, in an of itself, a revolutionary and progressive force. Out of those three major bourgeois revolutions, i think it by far the most reactionary. And to raise up the genecidal, slave owning leaders of a bourgeois revolution is also misguided. It obscures much broader historical processes that forced the hand of somebody like abraham lincoln or the entire system itself.
