The Communist Party of China
The Communist Party of China has done such a good job squashing out the knowledge of June 4th, 1989 that I wonder whether or not some students may have come out because they didn't know better. Most other societies did not have the institutional capabilities to actually surveil and force people to stay in their homes as the Chinese have done. And so ultimately, I think we are. In a kind of Orwellian triple plus environment such that it's almost impossible for me to imagine how you can stage a revolution under these circumstances.
