The Great British Bicycle Bubble

In the 18 nineties, there was an actual bicycle mania in britain. Bicycles were expensive, impractical and really uncomfortable. The new bicycles looked pretty similar to the bicycles that we ride to day. They were safer, they were more comfortable, and gave writers a relatively cheap way to get out of the smog wreathed cities of industrial britain - especially among the ladies.
