Building A Quantum Computer with Light
Azeem Azhar's Exponential View
The Complexity of Complex Systems in the Real World
The most sophisticated classical computers get very high fidelity simulations at quite small molecules. Most of the sort of useful synthetic molecules we end up working with in the in the real world are 10 50 100 times more atoms but that's just the linear increase the exponential increase is orders of magnitude so our traditional computers literally will not be able to do this have only much we we throw at the problem. We can chance upon the odd wonder you know pharmaceutical or material or whatever it is but we just can't systematically go about doing that and that's what we will be able to done with quantum computing.
