The Importance of Vacations

There's this idea in psychology about optimizing for memory as a path to maximum happiness. You're almost certainly better off in the future, cutting an activity short right after what seems like a really great experience rather than dragging it on. This is also a little bit more complicated for me because of my feelings. Like, I just don't really care about the past at all, including my own past.
