The Davidic Dinesty in Jesus of Naz Erath
In jesus, god fulfilled the promises made to the fathers. By raising jesus up as the davidic king, there is a fulfillment of the second sam. In christ, people can be placed in good standing with god through him,. They are released from the debt by forgiveness. John's baptism was a baptism of repentance in preparation for the forgiveness of sins that jesus brings. Total forgiveness, total clearing of the slate which the law of moses could never offer or achieve.
