The Methodological Dilemma of Criminalization
The idea that the first person being re-arrested or being incarcerated represent like the origins of criminal behavior, which is what they say, is sort of backwards, right? It's kind of a circular, methodologically important note. Whether it's defined as having someone's probation or parole revoked for a technical violation, which has nothing to do with illegal behavior,. So basically this idea that these predictors were built on and then applied to different populations doesn't make sense.
